Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup of broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup of sliced carrots
- 1/4 cup of sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup of spicy chili sauce
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Add the cubed tofu and toss to coat. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced red and green bell peppers, broccoli florets, and sliced carrots to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked tofu to the skillet and add 1/4 cup of spicy chili sauce. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat everything through.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the sliced green onions and chopped cilantro.
- Serve the spicy garlic ginger tofu stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy!
