  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the whole wheat pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the asparagus to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine with the asparagus and garlic butter.
  • Add the cooked whole wheat pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the shrimp and asparagus.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss again to combine.
  • Serve the garlic butter shrimp and asparagus whole wheat pasta immediately, and enjoy!
