Garlic Butter Chicken Calzone
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 pound of pizza dough
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1/4 cup of garlic butter
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup of marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a 6-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
- In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken with garlic butter, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Divide the chicken mixture evenly among the 4 dough circles, placing it on one half of each circle, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal, then crimp with a fork.
- Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cut a few slits in the top of each calzone to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the calzones are golden brown and crispy.
- Allow the calzones to cool for a few minutes before serving with marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
