Ingredients
- 3 pounds beef short ribs, cut across the bone into 1/4-inch-thick pieces
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 onion, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 Asian pear, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 4 cloves minced garlic, 1/2 grated onion, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 grated Asian pear, and 2 chopped green onions to make the marinade.
- Place the beef short ribs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the ribs. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade and shake off excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the ribs on the preheated grill until the meat is no longer pink, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the grilled ribs to a serving platter, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, and serve hot.
