Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely, then crumble it into a large bowl.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the white chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and melted. Remove from heat.
  • Divide the melted white chocolate into 4 small bowls. Add a few drops of gel food coloring to each bowl to create blue, purple, pink, and black colors. Stir until the colors are well combined.
  • Using a small cookie scoop, form the cake mixture into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into each cake ball. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes to set.
  • Dip each cake pop into the colored chocolate, swirling to create a galaxy effect. Place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with edible silver star sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
