Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Add 1 cup of softened butter, 3 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  • Gradually pour in 1 cup of buttermilk while mixing the batter. Stir in 1/2 cup of rainbow sprinkles.
