Ingredients
- 1 9-inch pie crust, baked and cooled
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat 1 cup of unsalted butter and 1 1/2 cups of white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Blend in the 4 ounces of melted unsweetened chocolate and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the 4 large eggs, one at a time, beating on medium speed for 5 minutes after each addition. Make sure the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour the filling into the baked and cooled pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the pie to set.
