Mexican

Fiestada pizza, a beloved Midwestern favorite, originated in the 1980s at Happy Joe's Pizza and Ice Cream Parlor in Iowa. This unique pizza features a crispy, taco-flavored crust topped with seasoned ground beef, a zesty tomato sauce, and a blend of melted cheeses. The dish quickly gained popularity for its bold flavors and innovative twist on traditional pizza. Today, the best fiestada pizzas can still be found at Happy Joe's locations across the Midwest. To recreate this iconic dish at home, it's crucial to nail the taco seasoning for the beef and find the perfect balance of flavors in the tomato sauce. Whether enjoyed at the original restaurant or homemade, fiestada pizza continues to delight pizza lovers with its irresistible combination of Mexican and Italian flavors.
