Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, and 1/2 cup beef broth. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add 2 cups of broccoli florets and 1 cup of sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
- Season with 1/4 tsp of black pepper and adjust the seasoning to taste.
