Ingredients
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 8 slices of mortadella
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- Preheat a pan over medium heat.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place 2 slices of cheddar cheese on 2 slices of bread, followed by 4 slices of mortadella on each sandwich.
- Add the thinly sliced jalapeno peppers on top of the mortadella.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
- Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on the top of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches in the preheated pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the pan, slice in half, and serve hot.
