Instructions

  • Preheat a pan over medium heat.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  • Place 2 slices of cheddar cheese on 2 slices of bread, followed by 4 slices of mortadella on each sandwich.
  • Add the thinly sliced jalapeno peppers on top of the mortadella.
  • Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  • Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on the top of each sandwich.
  • Place the sandwiches in the preheated pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the pan, slice in half, and serve hot.
