Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 8 slices of mortadella
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions

  • Place 4 slices of sourdough bread on a clean surface.
  • Layer 4 slices of mortadella on 2 of the bread slices.
  • Place the avocado slices on top of the mortadella.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the avocado slices.
  • Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese on top of the mozzarella.
  • Top with the remaining 2 slices of bread to form 2 sandwiches.
  • In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  • Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet if needed when flipping the sandwiches.
  • Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute before slicing in half.
  • Serve and enjoy!
