Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and crushed tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange a single layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread one-third of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Top with one-third of the meat sauce. Repeat layers, ending with the meat sauce. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the lasagna is hot and bubbly.
  • Let the lasagna stand for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
