  • In a small bowl, dissolve 2 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast in 1 cup of warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add the yeast mixture and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12x18 inch rectangle.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of melted butter, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon swirl mixture.
