Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (29 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, basil, salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, and Parmesan cheese.
