Ingredients

  • 12 oz of pasta
  • 1 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup of pine nuts
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook 12 oz of pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a food processor, combine 1 cup of fresh basil leaves, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup of pine nuts, and 2 cloves of garlic. Pulse until finely chopped.
  • With the food processor running, slowly pour in 1/2 cup of olive oil until a smooth pesto sauce forms. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a large skillet, heat the pesto sauce over medium heat. Stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the creamy pesto sauce.
