Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring oil
- Pink food coloring
- Cotton candy for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, sift together 1 cup of almond flour and 1 3/4 cups of powdered sugar. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat 3 egg whites until foamy. Gradually add in 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff, glossy peaks form.
- Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until fully combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of cotton candy flavoring oil and a few drops of pink food coloring to the batter. Gently fold until the color is evenly distributed.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each one.
- Tap the baking sheets on the counter to release any air bubbles, then let the macarons sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to form a skin.
- Bake the macarons for 12-15 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through baking. Let them cool completely on the baking sheets before carefully removing them.
- Once the macarons are completely cooled, sandwich them together with a small amount of cotton candy in the center. Enjoy!
