Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, then gradually stir in the flour mixture.
- Stir in 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
