Instructions

  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and transfer to a bowl of ice water to cool. Once cooled, drain and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, 1 tablespoon of hot sauce, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to make the spicy cocktail sauce.
  • Divide the spicy cocktail sauce among 4 martini glasses, spreading it evenly along the bottom.
  • Arrange the cooked shrimp on top of the cocktail sauce in each glass.
  • In a shaker, combine 1/4 cup of vodka and a handful of ice. Shake well and strain into the prepared martini glasses over the shrimp and cocktail sauce.
