  • 4 hoagie rolls

  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder. Season the thinly sliced chicken breasts with the spice mixture, salt, and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced green and red bell peppers, and onion. Cook until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss with the vegetables to combine. Place a slice of provolone cheese over the chicken and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt for 1-2 minutes.
  • While the cheese is melting, lightly toast the hoagie rolls in a toaster or oven.
  • Divide the chicken and vegetable mixture among the toasted hoagie rolls. Serve hot and enjoy!
