Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the milk, water, and 1/4 cup of butter until warm (120-130°F). Add this to the flour mixture.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl and beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to high speed and beat for 3 minutes.
  • Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • Punch the dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a 20x12-inch rectangle.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Cut the dough widthwise into six strips. Stack the strips on top of each other and cut into six pieces. Place the pieces cut side down in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
