Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk, water, and 1/4 cup of butter until warm (120-130°F). Add this to the flour mixture.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl and beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to high speed and beat for 3 minutes.
- Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Punch the dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a 20x12-inch rectangle.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Cut the dough widthwise into six strips. Stack the strips on top of each other and cut into six pieces. Place the pieces cut side down in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
