Instructions

  • Heat the 2 quarts of oil for frying in a deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Transfer the dough to a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.
  • Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil using a pastry bag. Fry until golden; drain on paper towels.
  • Mix 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a shallow dish. Roll drained churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Serve the churros with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
