Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread
- 1/2 cup toasted coconut flakes
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of cocoa powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Pulse to mix.
- Add 1/2 cup of cold, cubed unsalted butter and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to the food processor. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add 1 large egg yolk and 1/4 cup of heavy cream to the mixture. Pulse until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently to bring it together. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a 9-inch tart pan. Press the dough into the pan and trim any excess. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork.
- Bake the crust for 15-18 minutes, or until set. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Once the crust is cooled, spread 1 cup of chocolate-hazelnut spread evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of toasted coconut flakes over the chocolate-hazelnut spread.
- Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
