Ingredients
- 8 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Assorted dippers such as strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, and pound cake
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Place 8 ounces of chopped semi-sweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute to soften the chocolate.
- Gently stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
- Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm over a low flame.
- Arrange the assorted dippers on a platter or individual plates.
- Use fondue forks or skewers to dip the dippers into the warm chocolate fondue and enjoy!
