Instructions

  • Gradually add the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Remove from heat.
  • Pour the chicken mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a floured surface to fit the size of the pie dish. Place the pastry over the filling and trim any excess overhang.
  • Brush the beaten egg over the puff pastry.
  • Make a few slits on the pastry to allow steam to escape during baking.
