Main Course
French

Chicken paillard is a classic dish that originated in France. It consists of a chicken breast that is pounded thin, seasoned, and then grilled or sautéed. The dish is known for its simplicity and emphasis on the natural flavors of the chicken. While traditional recipes call for butter, many modern variations opt for healthier alternatives such as olive oil or cooking spray. Renowned chefs like Julia Child and Jacques Pépin have popularized this dish, and it can be found on the menus of upscale French restaurants worldwide. For a delicious and healthier version, consider using high-quality olive oil and fresh herbs to enhance the flavor of the chicken.
