Ingredients
- 8 oz of lo mein noodles
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup of shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup of julienned carrots
- 1/2 cup of sliced bell peppers
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Stir in the mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, and bell peppers. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Pour the sauce over the vegetables in the skillet.
- Add the cooked chicken and lo mein noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
