  • Sear the chicken thighs in the hot oil until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Pour the reserved marinade over the seared chicken. Add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar for a touch of sweetness.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, covered, for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened.
