  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

American

Cheesy bacon potato skins are a beloved American appetizer that originated in the 1970s. Created by Chef T.G.I. Friday's in New York City, these crispy potato skins filled with gooey cheese and savory bacon quickly gained popularity. The dish spread across the country and became a staple in casual dining restaurants and sports bars. Today, the best version of this dish can be found in various eateries across the United States, with some chefs adding their own unique twists, such as using different types of cheese or adding jalapenos for a spicy kick. The key to perfecting this dish lies in achieving the ideal balance of crispy potato, melted cheese, and flavorful bacon.
