Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the diced green and red bell peppers, and diced onion. Cook until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized.
  • Add the cooked ribeye steak back into the skillet with the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Spoon a portion of the cheesesteak mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded provolone cheese on top of the mixture.
  • Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold the sides in, and roll tightly. Moisten the top corner with water to seal the egg roll. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Place the prepared egg rolls on the lined baking sheet. Brush each egg roll with melted butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the egg rolls are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the cheesesteak egg rolls with caramelized onions hot, with your favorite dipping sauce, and enjoy!
