Ingredients
- 1 lb cheddar bratwurst
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the cheddar bratwurst for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
- While the bratwurst is grilling, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Once the bratwurst is cooked, place them on the toasted buns and top each with 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Close the grill lid and let the cheese melt for 1-2 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise to create the burger sauce.
- To assemble the burgers, place a slice of tomato and a handful of shredded lettuce on top of the melted cheese. Sprinkle with diced onions and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the burger sauce on the top half of the bun, then place it on top of the assembled burger.
- Serve the cheddar bratwurst burgers hot and enjoy!
