Ingredients
- 2 cups of water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 whole cloves
- 4 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- 2 cups of milk
- 4 tablespoons of honey or sugar
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, and ginger to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and let the spices and tea simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add 2 cups of milk and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let the chai latte steep for 2-3 minutes.
- Strain the chai latte into mugs, discarding the spices and tea bags.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar into each mug, adjusting to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
