Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 lb ground chicken, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix until well combined, then form into 4 burger patties.

- In the same skillet, cook the chicken burger patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each burger patty and allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on the grill.
- To assemble the burgers, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a chicken burger patty with melted Swiss cheese, and a generous amount of caramelized onions. Cover with the top half of the bun.
