Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of oats, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Stir in 1 cup of melted butter until the mixture is crumbly. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Spread the chopped apples over the crust layer. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples and press down lightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before drizzling with 1/2 cup of caramel sauce.
- Cut into bars and serve. Enjoy!
