Ingredients
- 4 slices of ciabatta bread
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a panini press or a grill pan over medium heat.
- Brush one side of each slice of ciabatta bread with olive oil.
- Place the bread slices, oiled side down, on a clean work surface.
- Layer the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil leaves on two of the bread slices.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the filling and season with salt and pepper.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, oiled side up.
- Place the sandwiches on the panini press or grill pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Carefully remove the sandwiches from the press or pan, slice in half, and serve hot.
