Instructions

  • Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
  • Once the butter is melted and hot, add the scallops to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for 2-3 minutes without moving them, until a golden crust forms.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet and carefully flip the scallops. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, basting the scallops with the melted butter.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the scallops to a serving plate. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
