Korean

Bulgogi, a traditional Korean dish, has a rich history dating back to the Goguryeo era. The name "Bulgogi" translates to "fire meat," reflecting its origins of grilling meat over an open flame. This savory-sweet dish is typically made with thinly sliced beef marinated in a blend of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and pear juice for tenderness. The meat is then grilled to perfection, resulting in a caramelized exterior and juicy, flavorful interior. Renowned chefs like Baek Jong-won have popularized Bulgogi, and it's a staple in Korean BBQ restaurants worldwide. For an authentic experience, visit Seoul's historic Gwangjang Market for the best Bulgogi.
