  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  • Remove the squash from the oven and turn them over so the cut side is facing up.
  • Brush the brown sugar mixture over the cut sides of the squash.
  • Return the squash to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the squash is tender and the glaze is bubbly.
