This delectable treat is a sweet, moist cake made with honey, almonds, and a hint of lemon zest, giving it a unique and delightful flavor. The history of bee cake dates back to the Canary Islands, where it was originally created by skilled local bakers using the finest honey and almonds from the region. Today, the best versions of this dessert can still be found in the Canary Islands, particularly in Tenerife and Gran Canaria. The key to a perfect bee cake lies in the quality of honey and almonds used, as well as the precise balance of flavors.
