American

The BBQ pulled pork sandwich has a rich history rooted in Southern American cuisine. Originating in the Southern United States, this dish has become a staple in BBQ joints and restaurants across the country. Pitmasters and chefs in regions like Memphis, Tennessee, and the Carolinas have perfected the art of slow-cooking pork shoulder, infusing it with smoky flavors and tenderizing it to perfection. The key to a mouthwatering BBQ pulled pork sandwich lies in the slow-cooked, succulent pork, paired with a tangy and sweet BBQ sauce, all sandwiched between soft, pillowy buns. For the best version of this dish, head to renowned BBQ spots in the South or seek out restaurants with a passion for authentic, slow-cooked BBQ. Whether it's served with coleslaw, pickles, or a side of mac and cheese, the BBQ pulled pork sandwich is a true Southern classic that continues to delight food enthusiasts worldwide.
