Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs of beef chuck roast
- 1 cup of BBQ sauce
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 8 slices of bread
- 8 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
- In a slow cooker, place the seasoned beef chuck roast, sliced onion, minced garlic, and beef broth.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- Once the beef is cooked, shred it using two forks and mix in the BBQ sauce.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of 4 slices of bread.
- Divide the BBQ pulled beef evenly among the 4 slices of bread with cheese, then top with another slice of cheddar cheese and the remaining 4 slices of bread, buttered side out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwiches in the skillet.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Slice the sandwiches in half and serve hot.
