Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced red onions
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In a large skillet, heat the BBQ sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat evenly. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice the hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Spoon the BBQ meatballs onto the bottom half of each roll. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Top with sliced red onions and chopped fresh cilantro. Place the top half of the hoagie roll on top and serve hot.
