BBQ Bacon Sliders

Ingredients
- 12 slider buns
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 12 slices of bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel to drain.
- In the same skillet, add the olive oil and sauté the sliced onions until caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Form the ground beef into 12 small patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the beef patties in the skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- As the patties cook, brush each one with BBQ sauce.
- Place a slice of cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt.
- Slice the slider buns in half and place them on a baking sheet. Toast them in the preheated oven for 2-3 minutes.
- Assemble the sliders by placing a beef patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a slice of bacon and caramelized onions.
- Place the top half of the bun on each slider and secure with a toothpick.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
