Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season each patty with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • While the burgers are grilling, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a cheese-topped patty on each bun, followed by 2 slices of bacon and a few slices of avocado. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce on top of the avocado and cover with the top half of the bun.
