Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 1/3 cups of mashed ripe bananas (about 4-5 bananas)
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter and brown sugar. Add the beaten eggs, mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in the chopped nuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
