Honey Mustard Glazed Baked Boneless Chicken Thighs
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 8 boneless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup Dijon mustard, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Place the boneless chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour in half of the honey mustard mixture. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Place the chicken thighs in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until browned.
- Brush the remaining honey mustard mixture over the chicken thighs.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Baked boneless chicken thighs with a honey mustard glaze have a rich history rooted in the culinary traditions of the American South. This dish combines the succulence of tender chicken thighs with the sweet and tangy flavors of honey and mustard. Renowned chefs like Paula Deen and Bobby Flay have popularized this dish, infusing it with their own unique twists. The best version of this dish can be found in Southern-style restaurants, where the chicken is marinated in a flavorful blend of honey, mustard, and spices before being baked to perfection. The key to getting this dish right lies in achieving the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess in the glaze, as well as ensuring the chicken thighs are juicy and tender. For a delicious alternative, consider grilling the chicken thighs for a smoky flavor that pairs beautifully with the honey mustard glaze.
