  • In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add the fava beans to the pot and sauté for 5 minutes. Then, season with salt, black pepper, and ground cumin.
  • Add the drained rice to the pot and stir gently to combine with the fava beans and onions.
  • Pour the saffron-infused water over the rice and gently mix to distribute the saffron evenly.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the rice steam for 30 minutes until fluffy and fully cooked.
