Ingredients
- 12 large sea scallops
- 12 slices of bacon
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Rinse the scallops and pat them dry with paper towels. Sprinkle the scallops with garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Cut each bacon slice in half. Wrap each scallop with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon-wrapped scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is slightly crispy.
- Transfer the seared scallops to the prepared wire rack on the baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and the bacon is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
