Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine 2 lbs of ground beef, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of ketchup, 1 finely chopped onion, 2 minced cloves of garlic, 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Divide the meat mixture in half. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a loaf pan, creating a well in the center.
  • Place the cubed cheddar cheese into the well, covering it with the remaining meat mixture and pressing the edges to seal.
  • Lay the bacon slices over the top of the meatloaf, tucking the ends underneath.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the bacon is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
