  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and form them into burger patties.
  • Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • While the patties are cooking, cook the bacon in a separate skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and ketchup to make the burger sauce.
  • To assemble the burgers, spread the burger sauce on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Place a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on top of the sauce. Place a cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top of the tomato. Add 2 slices of bacon and a spoonful of chopped onions. Finally, cover with the top half of the hamburger bun.
  • Serve the bacon cheeseburgers immediately and enjoy!
