Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape them into burger patties.
  • Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • While the patties are cooking, cook the bacon in a separate skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and ketchup to make the burger sauce.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading the burger sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by 2 slices of bacon, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve the bacon cheddar burgers immediately and enjoy!
